Winter Sun on the Mountains

I love the way the mountains glowed tonight. Had I the time, I would have mounted my zoom lens on a tripod and taken a closer picture. As things were, I was lucky to shoot this before the sun disappeared.

Rock Canyon Water at Sunset

I went up to Rock Canyon tonight just as the sun was setting and fired away. My only lament was that I didn't bring a tripod. With a tripod I could have left the shutter open for a second or two and gotten that really silky look.

All in all, I like how these turned out. :)

This is what happens when the sun sets...

What you see is a beautiful sunset on Squaw Peak taken a few days ago. I post this in memoriam, as the skies are currently filled with a dusty haze rivaling any of the worst post-apocalyptic scenarios.
